Most couples who contact us are after the exact same thing: natural moments instead of stiff, forced poses. When Louisa and Jack reached out from Hong Kong, they knew exactly what they wanted. They were traveling a long way to celebrate their engagement, and they dreamed of photos that captured the spirit of their trip; romantic, yet completely effortless.
After being together for so many years, they decided Cappadocia was the perfect place to celebrate this special time. But Louisa had a lingering worry. A previous trip all the way to Finland where they ended up missing the Northern Lights had left her a bit anxious. She jokingly told us in one of her messages, "I'm terrified we'll have the exact same bad luck with the balloons!"
We met up on a chilly October morning while the valley was still pitch dark. It was cold out, and the only activity around us was the quiet preparation of the balloon crews. Even with the balloons laid out across the launch site, Louisa knew flights could be canceled right up until the last minute. She was listening intently, waiting for the sound of the first burner, the official signal that they were cleared for takeoff. Then, a burst of flame lit up the darkness. As the warmth of the balloons mixed with the crisp valley air, the tense anticipation on Louisa’s face melted into pure relief.
We'll let the photos from that beautiful Cappadocia morning tell the rest of their story.
